KSA Payroll, GOSI & HR Compliance in ERPNext

Standard ERPNext was not built for Saudi Arabia. It ships without GOSI contribution rates, without EOSB calculations, without Iqama tracking, and without KSA Labour Law leave entitlements. Every Saudi business running ERPNext has to configure these from scratch — or worse, manages them outside the system in spreadsheets while the ERP handles everything else. GSA builds a complete KSA HR and payroll configuration into ERPNext so your salary structure, compliance obligations, and employee records are handled correctly in one place from day one.

ERPNext's HR and payroll modules are powerful — but they ship as a blank canvas. The Saudi-specific compliance layer has to be built on top. GSA configures everything KSA businesses need from day one: the salary structure, GOSI rates, EOSB calculations, Iqama tracking, and leave entitlements — all built to KSA Labour Law and GOSI regulations.

The KSA salary structure is pre-built with Basic Salary, Housing Allowance (25% of basic), Transport Allowance, Mobile Allowance, GOSI Employee deduction (9% of basic plus housing), and Income Tax. Every component is configured so payslips calculate correctly without manual adjustments.

GOSI contributions are built directly into the salary structure at the correct regulatory rates: 9% employee and 9.75% employer contribution for Saudi nationals; 2% employer-only contribution for non-Saudi employees. A monthly GOSI report generates the submission data needed for the GOSI portal — no manual calculation required.

End of Service Benefits are calculated automatically using the KSA Labour Law formula: 0.5 months per year of service for the first five years, and one full month per year thereafter. The EOSB Liability report shows each employee's current entitlement so the liability is tracked in the accounts at all times — not discovered at termination.

Iqama and Work Permit expiry dates are tracked on every non-Saudi employee record. The system sends an automatic alert to the HR Manager 30 days before expiry — giving enough time to renew without incurring penalties for lapsed residency permits, which under KSA law can be significant.

Leave entitlements are pre-configured to KSA Labour Law: Annual Leave (21 days, rising to 30 days after 5 years of service), Sick Leave, Hajj Leave (5 days, once per service), Maternity Leave (60 days), Paternity Leave (3 days), Emergency Leave, Unpaid Leave, and Compensatory Leave.
